Bio:
Matt is from Walnut, Mississippi. He graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Southern Studies. Matt served as the Ole Miss OΔK Circle President. At Ole Miss, he served in the student government and contributed much of his time to public service. Matt volunteered at the Barksdale Reading Institute, the Boys and Girls Club, and Central Elementary School in Oxford. Matt has interned for Teach For America and Mississippi Teacher Corps, and he hopes to one day work in educational leadership or educational public policy.

He enjoys spending time with his friends, watching movies, and reading. He also has a special interest in the arts, particularly documentary photography and film making, and has volunteered for the Oxford Film Festival and the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council.

Matt is especially excited about serving as the first Omicron Delta Kappa Fellow. He said, “My OΔK experience was especially important because of the skills and friendships I developed. The chance to work with OΔK student leaders and alumni is exciting. I hope to use this opportunity to help promote the OΔK Idea by sharing my experience and excitement for OΔK.”
