Duties:

• Is the Chief Executive Officer of Omicron Delta Kappa
• Serves as spokesperson for OΔK and its mission of responsible, ethical leadership
• Guides the Society in the development and implementation of its strategic plans
• Promotes and administers current programming, including the biennial national Summit, the awards given for exemplary leadership and service to the Society, the national scholarships, and programming at the local level
• Oversees the communications, including the Web site, the magazine (The Circle), and regular contacts with officers at the local and national level
• Is an ex-officio member of the OΔK Foundation Board of Trustees

Bio:
Prior to coming to OΔK, Tom served for seven years as the Chief Operating Officer of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, a men's college social fraternity and as the Principal in the higher education consulting firm " The Center Ring" which is headquartered in Chicago.

A native of Iowa he is the father of Todd and grandfather of Ava, Asher and Graham.

Tom's career in higher education spans 47 years serving seven colleges and universities in student affairs' administration and as a teaching faculty member and two assignments in leadership roles with not for profits. His academic degrees are from Iowa State (B.S., Ph.D.) and Michigan State (M.A.).  He is a past president of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) and founder of the Bacchus Peer Network, a college student coalition working with alcohol and substance abuse.

Goodale is an avid reader, avid sports enthusiast, and a volunteer for agencies working with troubled youth and terminally ill children.
