Travel Information:

Airline reservations: All travel arrangements can be made through the Society’s travel agency, AAA Corporate Travel Services.  Please make all flight reservations to arrive at Bush Intercontinental Airport.

 To assure us the lowest airfare, call as early as possible, preferably by May 14, 2010.  You should make your reservation no later than June 4, 2010.

Directions: Visit the JW Marriott at the Galleria’s website.  From this site, you will be able to find maps and driving directions on how to find the hotel.  If you have any questions please feel free to contact the JW Marriott at 1-713-961-1500 or the National Headquarters at 1-877-635-6437.  Parking at the hotel is $17 per day.

Transportation: Shuttles have been arranged to provide airport transfers to and from Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH).  Shuttle service will run hourly and will begin at 1:00pm and run through 9:00pm on June 24th.  Shuttles are also scheduled to transport attendees from the JW Marriott back to the airport between 6:00am and 10:00am on June 27th.  If you want to take advantage of the free shuttles, please make sure that your flight schedules are in line with these arrangements; OΔK will not be able to cover the cost of transportation for participants who miss the shuttles.  Cab fare between IAH and the JW Marriott at the Galleria is approximately $65 each way and shared-ride services begin at $27 per person, each way. 

Housing:

Reservations: The JW Marriott at the Galleria will provide our accommodations for the National Summit and Convention.  You are responsible for making your reservations (Note that those delegates who received the convention scholarships will have their reservations made by O∆K).  To make hotel reservations, contact the Marriott at the number listed below.  Identify yourself as a member of Omicron Delta Kappa.  If you have made plans to room with someone, be sure to tell the reservation agent your roommate’s name.  If you would like to have a roommate assigned to you, contact Carrie Hoppenjans, Convention Registrar, at 1-317-297-0069 before making your reservations.  (See instructions below)

Room rates for the National Leadership Summit and Convention are $139.00 per night, up to 4-person occupancy.  Currently the tax is 17%.  Hotel reservations must be made by June 3, 2010.

** Do not make hotel reservations if you are receiving a Circle Delegate Scholarship, those arrangements will be made for you.**

Roommate Pairs: 

If you have made plans to share a room with one or more people, each person must provide the name(s) of the roommate(s) when reserving a room.

 If you would like to be assigned a roommate, you must note that on your registration form.  To ensure that you are paired, submit your registration form no later than May 14, 2010.  Roommates will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis.  Please be sure to include the correct contact information so that we can notify you once a roommate has been assigned.  You will be responsible for making hotel reservations once you receive your roommate assignment.
